Key Docs Quick Briefing
From the start of 2015, all IMF statistical databases, including International Financial Statistics, Balance of Payment Statistics, Government Finance Statistics, and Direction of Trade Statistics, are available free of charge. The IMF publishes a range of time series data on IMF lending, exchange rates and other economic and financial indicators. Manuals, guides, and other material on statistical practices at the IMF, in member countries, and of the statistical community at large are also available.
EU Bookshop
European Union publications are available from the EU Bookshop. The Bookshop is a library and archive of over 100,000 publications in 50 languages dating back to 1952. PDFs and e-book versions are available free of charge.
Progress Status of Digitization of UN Documents
Dag Hammarskjöld Library is working with the Library of the UN at Geneva on an ongoing project to digitize pre-1993 UN documents. Processed documents are uploaded to the Official Documents System (ODS).

Formerly a subscription database, the World DataBank is now freely available on the web. It contains over 40 databases with datasets on topics including, debt and economic growth, education, health, gender, landmine contamination, migration, nutrition, population, and more. Use World DataBank to compare countries or regions over time.
UNBISnet
The online catalog for the UN Dag Hammarskjöld Library contains bibliographic records for UN and non-UN documents. A growing number of full-text resources in the six official languages of the UN (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish), including resolutions adopted by the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council, and the Security Council from 1946 onward are also available. Human Development Report
Since its inception in 1990, the HDR has sought to calculate the human dimension of development by measuring how national production promotes human development in various societies. Produced by the United Nations Development Programme, the report is issued annually. It contains critical economic and social data in both narrative and statistical sections. There are frequent country and regional reports. HDR is an excellent resource for information about women and children. Data is available for downloading.
Yearbook of the United Nations
Published by the UN Department of Public Information, Yearbook contains an overview and details of UN activities. It has been published annually since 1947 with the most recent edition covering 2007. "With comprehensive coverage of political and security matters, human rights issues, economic and social questions, legal issues, and institutional, administrative and budgetary matters, this is the most authoritative reference work available on the activities and concerns of the Organization.
